Drawing God's Blessings

In II Samuel 7:2, we find King David deeply troubled, that while he was living in the comfort of his house of cedar, experiencing rest from all his enemies, the Ark of God dwelt inside tent curtains. This man of God is being consumed with zeal to find a dwelling place for Almighty God. Psalm 132:3 – 5, “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

As we move forward and transition into the New Covenant, we find God dwelling within and upon you and I as the Living Stones making up the beautiful Body of Christ. (I Peter 1:5) Ephesians 2:21 & 22 reveal this reality, “In whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

Jesus was eaten up with jealous zeal for His Father’s house, John 2:17, “Then His disciples remembered that it was written, ‘Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up’.”Jesus called His house a House of Prayer. (Matthew 21:13 & 14) Jesus was declaring that prayer born out of fellowship with the Father, anointed by the Spirit, praying in His name would be the primary activity of the corporate Body of Christ on earth.

I heard the Holy Spirit speak up in my spirit saying, ‘Anyone who will dedicate themselves to unified corporate prayer in this hour for regional and national awakening, revival, transformation and reformation will draw God’s blessings beyond our wildest imagination. I heard the Spirit say; ‘If you will be concerned with My house of prayer, then I will build and bless your house, which includes your family, your ministry, your finances, and your health.’ The Spirit confirmed this word with the following Scripture, referring to David in II Samuel 7:11, “Since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the Lord tells you that He will make (build) you a house.” Corporate, unified praise, worship and prayer will draw God’s manifest presence. Psalm 132:13 – 18, “For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place; This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. I will also clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed. His enemies I will clothe with shame. But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.” This Hebrew year of 5777 is a crowning year for the Body of Christ.

I exhort us to expend the energy and make the sacrifices together as we give ourselves to prayer. I believe that then we will experience the greatest breakthroughs we have ever seen in our region and nation.

Shalom,

Pastor Michael
