Declaring Justice

In the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, Jesus is teaching that our Father God will answer us speedily in our cries for justice. (verse 8) Speedily can be translated quickly, shortly or soon. So much teaching on prayer implies that sustained begging of God is needed, because He is reluctant to move until some type of quota is reached. This can be connected to a certain number of hours, amount of participants, sinless perfection and levels of desperation to mention a few. This parable is contrasting that God is NOT like the unjust judge. Even under the Old Covenant one imperfect consecrated intercessor could have secured pardon for the whole city of Jerusalem. Jeremiah 5:1
